The Nature Foundation, in a continued effort to educate the youth on conservation issues and stress the important role they play in the future of nature conservation on this island, established the Junior Rangers program with the aim of introducing youngsters to the ocean through the teaching marine conservation.
School Children Education
The Nature Foundation actively engages in in-school programs and St. Maarten organizations providing Environmental Education. The Foundation gives presentations on a number of topics and hosts events for children and adults throughout the year.
Educating the youth on the environment is one of the most important tasks of the Nature Foundation. It is through educating the children that will eventually inherit this island that we can ensure true development in the sustainable sense while conserving our natural environment.
